Pit Bull Reporter magazine is always mailed in a sealed white or manila 9"X12" envelope for your complete privacy! There is no mention of "pit bulls" anywhere on the envelope. Plus, our mailing list has never been sold to any other party and never will be. (Ed.)

Pit Bull Reporter
is now in its
tenth year of uninterrupted publication!

Mailed in: Mar/June/Sept/Dec

(A word to the wise.)
We urge caution in subscribing to " start-up" magazines in this genre as they have a long history of failure, often after only a few issues, leaving subscribers stranded without completing their subscription obligations. (Ed.)

Typical unsolicited customer testimonials:

Hello Friend,
P.B.R. is the best bulldog magazine on the market! Keep up the good work!
                                            Henry Salazar

"Friend Bill,

I received the back issue # 29 that I ordered a few days ago. It's a great magazine and exactly what I have been looking for. I really enjoyed the Point of View section and the Discussion on Gameness. I will be sending in money for a subscription in the near future. Keep up the good work.                            Darrell Wright"

Q. Why should I pay money for a print magazine with so much free stuff on the Internet?

A. A print magazine is the best way to keep information: photos; articles; letters to the editor etc. neatly, in one safe place for a long time. We still have magazines that were printed in the 1960's and 1970's and often refer back to them for old breedings on our dogs, match information and stories about dog men of days past.

B. ALL INFORMATION on the Internet is "temporary", I asssure you! We have lost two hard drives to viruses and if we hadn't been able to recover our files most of our website would have been gone forever. If it can happen to us it can happen to others. Besides, websites cost money to operate and keep up on the net and people come and go in this game and in life. There are no guarantees any information or website will be there tomorrow, much less many years from now. If you want to keep information indefinitely a quality publication, like Pit Bull Reporter is the best way to do it. Sure, you can print pages off the net but will you still have all those loose leaves of paper in twenty years and what kind of condition will they be in if you can find them?

Q. What does Pit Bull Reporter look like? What do I get for my money?

A. First, in Pit Bull Reporter every page is a full size 8 1/2" X 11" unlike some pit bull genre "magazines" that are printed vertically, then folded in the middle and end up as a tiny TV guide-sized "booklet." We print on 11" X 17" heavy 24 lb. paper and fold and staple to get a quality, full-sized look and feel in a magazine you can be proud to keep and show to friends for many years.

B. PBR is printed by a professional in off-set printing unlike many others that are simply run off on cheap paper on a copy machine.

C. All our cover dog pictures (whenever possible) are taken from actual photos and half-toned for high clarity. We use only a very heavy "linen" cover giving a very high quality appearance to the outside of the magazine. We also pay to add an additional color to each cover rather than the standard photocopier B&W many others use.

D. All pictures in PBR (whenever possible) are actual photos, half-toned by our printer for the highest possible clarity and resolution unlike many other's who simply photocopy poor quality "pics" downloded off the net.
